Des Moines, IA – March 17, 2014 – StorageMart announced today the purchase of 18 Budget Storage and Advance Self Storage locations in Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska.
“We have been working on this portfolio since 1987, and are pleased it has finally come to fruition,” StorageMart CEO Mike Burnam said. “It fits well with our acquisition criteria for increasing or maintaining critical mass in markets where we can control expenses and push our revenue.”
The acquisition adds 1,113,872 net rentable square feet and 8,573 individual storage units to StorageMart’s portfolio, making it the single largest provider of self storage service to the Greater Des Moines Area. This addition brings the company wide total of net rentable square footage to more than 9.8 million.
