Whether you’re into airplanes or antiques, there’s something fun going on in or around Plymouth, California. Here are a half dozen of our favorites.
Head to Folsom Picker's Warehouse on Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., to check out the Antique & Vintage Market. No worries if all that shopping makes you hungry; they’ll have food trucks on hand to give you the sustenance you need to keep on shopping. This is a free event.
Enjoy three days of action (Sept. 21-23) to honor Mather Airport’s 100 years of service to our nation. You’ll see world-class performers, including the Canadian Force F-18, the United States Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, and the Air Force Heritage Flight featuring the F-35 Lightning. Tickets range from $10 to $205.
Music, dancing, jousting, food, drink, crafts, and more. There’s a lot to love about this fair, which takes place Sept. 22-23 at Folsom City Lions Park. Tickets start at $12.
The third annual Swing California takes place Oct. 12-15 at the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova. You’ll get to see the competition, of course, but you’ll also have a chance to listen to top bands and put on your dancing shoes to take part in workshops all weekend. Tickets start at $89.
The fourth annual Bacon & Brew Bash takes place Oct. 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Roseville Police Activities League. It’s no surprise you’ll find bacon-inspired dishes, but there will also be craft beer, dancing, a silent auction, and raffles. Note that children are not allowed at this event. Tickets start at $15.
Placerville heats up Oct. 25-28 with a full line-up of music, including host band Railroad Earth. But this festival is about more than music. There will be a Kidszone with face painting, glitter tattoos, a do-it-yourself photo booth, pumpkin carving, and a bunch of crafts. There will also be yoga and a parade. Tickets for the four-day festival start at $199.50 for adults.
