StorageMart Acquires Fort Myers Storage Location

We’re growing again! StorageMart recently purchased the former A Storage Inn, becoming the company’s 172nd facility in the United States and Canada. The Fort Myers store adds 31,000 square feet of self storage and 375 additional storage units to the world’s largest privately-owned storage company.

“This off-market transaction fits perfectly into our middle-market strategy,” said Mike Burnam, Chief Executive Officer of StorageMart. “We’ll continue to look for new markets as opportunities like this Fort Myers storage location present themselves.”

New Renovations

Though StorageMart has more than 11.5 million square feet of self storage in the United States and Canada, each customer enjoys small-town service. StorageMart will upgrade their Fort Mayer storage location by:

• repainting the nine-building property

• improving exterior lighting

• repaving the parking lot

• creating a second entrance to the property

• increasing the number of storage spaces

• renovating the customer service office

“The second gated entrance will make it easier for customers to access the property,” said Weyen Burnam, Vice President of Development and Acquisition at StorageMart. “We want every customer to enjoy the benefits of self storage with us.”

StorageMart’s other locations in Florida are in Key West, Big Coppitt Key, Miami, Miramar, Fort Lauderdale, and Pompano Beach but this is the first location on the Sunshine State’s West Coast. No other Fort Myers storage center is closer to the Caloosahatchee River, just minutes away from the Gulf of Mexico.

StorageMart promises an excellent self storage experience for every customer, backing that up with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, which states that if you’re unsatisfied for any reason, you get a Free Month of storage. StorageMart invests in local communities and globally by supporting non-profits through sponsorship and in-kind donations. Charitable partners include Charity Storage, The Red Cross, Skate to Great, local humane shelters, women’s shelters, foster care and adoption associations, festivals and more.
