Honey Plugin and Website Deals

It’s possible to get all of your holiday shopping done by spending an hour online—and polling shows that the majority of us are now doing exactly that.

But how can you be sure you’re getting the best prices?

In the past, the only way to do that was to spend a few minutes searching for online coupon codes. Now, thanks to a popular browser extension, online shopping is even easier.

How Honey Plugin Works

Honey works by automatically finding and applying any available coupons or deals for the retailer you’re shopping at. Around since 2013, it can be used at more than 30,000 online stores.

Here’s how it works: Once Honey is installed, you’ll see the honey icon in the top right corner turn orange if it’s offered at the site you’re shopping. (If you’re using Safari, the icon remains gray and appears on the toolbar, but a small number appears showing the number of deals at that site.)

Then, there’s something called Honey Gold. It’s offered at about 4,000 participating online stores and is essentially a points bonus that can be redeemed for gift cards at stores like Amazon, Walmart, Target, eBay, Nordstrom, and Sephora.

Let’s say you’re shopping for sheets at Overstock.com. When you go to check out, the first thing that will happen, if Honey Gold is offered, is that a dancing yellow button will pop up telling you that rewards are available.

Next, if there are any coupon codes for Overstock (say 15 percent off plus free shipping) they will be automatically applied.

The Holidays and StorageMart

It takes a lot to be festive this time of the year. There are the outdoor lights, indoor decorations, rolls of wrapping paper, and reams of ribbon—not to mention the holiday sweaters. It’s all great, but it also takes up a lot of space in your basement or attic.

Luckily, there is an easy way to deck your house out, without letting all those boxes drive you crazy the rest of the year. (Here are six tips on organizing and storing holiday decorations.) At StorageMart, you can rent a unit as small as 25 square feet or so—or up to the size of a garage if you really go big at Christmas.

Whatever size space you need, we offer affordable self-storage units that can be rented on a month-by-month basis and are always clean and well-lit. Check out our storage unit guide or rent a unit online today.
