StorageMart Makes a Double Play with Baseball Ticket Giveaway

Chicago, Illinois – May 22, 2013 – StorageMart, a full-service storage company with more than 130 locations across the United States and Canada and the leading provider of self storage space in the Chicago land area, is pleased to announce the results of its recent fundraising drive for Open Books, a non-profit bookstore located in Chicago.

StorageMart raised finds via a giveaway of two tickets to see the Chicago White Sox host the Chicago Cubs at U.S. Cellular Field on Monday, May 27, 2013.  Entries for the giveaway were made via the official StorageMart Facebook page (www.facebook.com/StorageMart) and blog (www.storage-mart.com/blog) by answering a simple question.  “Which team has the best fans, the White Sox or the Cubs?”

After 464 total entries, the Chicago Cubs and their fan base came out on top by a narrow 51-49 percent margin. The lucky winner randomly chosen was  Ross Wasserstrom of Oak Park, Illinois.

Perhaps more importantly, StorageMart had pledged to donate $1 to Open Books per vote, resulting in a $464 check for the non-profit organization.

This fundraiser was the latest project in StorageMart’s philanthropic efforts.  The company also supports food banks, public schools, theater groups, animal welfare organizations and various other non-profit organizations through those markets where StorageMart has a physical presence.
