Up-Cycled Floor Mats Making Life More Comfortable for the Homeless<\/h2>\n

Small actions make a big difference when we give back to benefit our community<\/a>. \u201cStore it Forward<\/a>\u201d is a collection of charitable initiatives powered by StorageMart and our customers.<\/p>\n

In the true spirit of StorageMart\u2019s charity initiative, \u201cStore it Forward,\u201d a group of folks in Bevier, Missouri have been spending countless hours weaving floor pads out of recycled shopping bags and then donating them to homeless shelters<\/a>.
\n\"A<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were looking for a community project to do in our church, and this has really become bigger than life.\u201d<\/em> said Connie Argotsinger, one of the organizers of the project.<\/p>\n

Argotsinger went on to say, \u201cThe fact that we can make a recycled product that is lightweight to carry, yet comfortable to sit or sleep on has rallied many volunteers throughout our community to come by and create these awesome mats for the homeless.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

StorageMart heard of this inspiring community project and commissioned these volunteers to create a smaller sitting version to sell at the Roots N Blues N BBQ festival<\/a>\u00a0at the end of September in Columbia, Missouri. All proceeds from the mat sales will be donated to a \u201cStore it Forward\u201d charity partner.<\/p>\n
