For 50 years, Kansas women’s basketball has become a central part of the community in Lawrence. The Lady Jayhawks boast a rich and storied history, including four postseason trips to the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen round, over 800 wins, 59 all-conference selections, and 67 academic all-conference selections. Nine Lady Jayhawks have continued their playing careers in the WNBA, the pinnacle of achievement for a women’s basketball player.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The University of Kansas is part of the Big 12 Conference. The women’s basketball team plays at the legendary Allen Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
