2015 Year in Review

The start of a new year is a time to reflect on the past year and make goals for the future. For StorageMart, 2015 was a monumental year in terms of growth and achievement. As we look ahead for 2016, we wanted to take some time to remember 2015 and show our gratitude (and a little bit of pride) for a successful year. Here is our 2015 year in review:

In September 2015, our CEO Mike Burnam was inducted into the Self Storage Hall of Fame. This honor was especially significant for Mike because he is a second-generation hall-of-famer; his father– the founder of StorageMart– Gordon Burnam, was inducted into the Self Storage Hall of Fame in 2005.

New StorageMart Team Members

156 new employees joined the StorageMart family in 2015. We are thrilled to welcome each new individual and continue to spread our outreach across North America. While on the topic of reaching out, we should also mention that in 2015 enough people moved into StorageMart units to cover 157 football fields.

In 2015, StorageMart sold 47,747 locks, acquired eight new facilities, earned $1,959,521.40 worth of revenue from boxes and moving supplies, and spent $15 million on renovations like light fixtures, cameras, and signage.

StorageMart is passionate about charity and nonprofits. This year we donated $102, 286 to the American Red Cross, $40,775 to Charity to Storage, $58,716 to Skate to Great, and $4,342 to the Quebec Pediatric Center.
