The 3 Best Organization Blogs

Some of us are born organizers. And some of us, well, let’s just say we’ve got something to learn from those born organizers.

In honor of fresh starts and the upcoming New Year, let’s take a look at a few of the best home organization blogs.

A Bowl Full of Lemons

The tagline of this blog is “Organize. Clean. Decorate.” That’s because the three activities are all inter-related in the mind of author Toni Hammersley. You can’t have style without first organizing and cleaning your home.

To that end, she offers a 14-week home organizing challenge that has you focus on one area of your house at a time and, finally, get it organized to its core. Basically, you’ll be going through your entire home and deciding whether to keep, donate, or recycle everything you own. But, because you’ll be doing it with guidance, it’s a lot less daunting than it may sound.

Just a Girl and Her Blog

Abby Lawson’s blog started out as a hobby, but she now has tens of thousands of followers. Having your home organized, helps you be “insanely productive” and enjoy life more, according to Lawson.

Her posts range from “A Perfectly Organized Pool Bag” to “How to Get Rid of Clutter Piles Once and for All.” She’ll coach you through each step of the process, while also cheering you on.

I’m an Organizing Junkie

Laura Wittmann’s blog doesn’t focus on making your home as perfect as the pages of a magazine. Rather, her goal is for organization to serve as a tool to make life a bit easier.

Although she does offer a 52-week organizing challenge, she’s also a huge fan what she calls the Power Pickup. Basically, you walk from room to room with an empty laundry basket for 15 minutes, picking up what doesn’t belong and putting it in its proper place as you go along.

You’ll also find tips on meal planning, teaching kids to organize, living simply, and managing your time.

Consider Additional Storage Space

No matter how diligent you are, if you don’t have enough storage space, it can be nearly impossible to be organized. If you’re not ready to move to larger digs, renting a self storage unit can be an ideal solution.

At StorageMart, we offer affordable self storage units that can be rented on a month-by-month basis and are always clean and well-lit. Check out our storage unit guide or rent a unit online today. Don’t let lack of storage hold you back from having the tidy, well-organized home you’ve been working toward.
