It’s during “grey skies” when disasters like Hurricane Harvey strike that a more urgent need arises for volunteers and funding.

Here are a few ways the American Red Cross immediately began supporting Hurricane Harvey victims:

Donating Now Closed- Please contact the Red Cross to donate.

  • Provide first-aid supplies
  • Establish shelters for evacuation or victims who’ve lost their home
  • Provide food for shelter guests until they can return home
  • Distribute water, food, and relief supplies across impacted neighborhoods
  • Hand out cleaning supplies
  • Create recovery plans to help families get back on their feet
  • Give hope by offering emotional support to help people cope after a disaster
  • Restore health by monitoring the well-being of shelter guests and helping them replace prescription medications or eyeglasses

91 cents of every dollar donated is invested in humanitarian services and programs. We’re inviting you to join us in supporting our friends affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Donations of any amount make a difference, and we look forward to matching your gift.
