Best Sports Bars in Minneapolis to Watch March Madness

March Madness is, first and foremost, about college basketball.

But it’s also about meeting up with friends, making friendly bets, ordering a cold one, and enjoying all of the atmosphere and fun that goes along with the big game.

Luckily, Minneapolis has no shortage of sports bars that’ll be just as tuned in as you are to March Madness. Here are a half dozen of our favorites.

Bunny’s Bar and Grill

In business since 1933, this Minneapolis staple has 45 TVs between its two locations. Arrive early and order the signature breakfast and you’ll receive a free bloody Mary or screwdriver.

This place is actually one year older than Bunny’s—and still has an old school ambiance, as well as classic bar food like nachos, wings, and (everyone’s favorite at Manning’s) onion rings. Free popcorn keeps the local college kids fed, too!

The Pourhouse

This bar might just have the biggest TV in town—a 25-foot HD projection screen. In addition, there are 50 other TVs in this Prohibition-themed hangout, so you can keep an eye on all the games going on at the same time.

City Works

Every seat has a good view of the game at this downtown bar. A huge selection of craft beer is complemented by the massive food menu, including shareables like barbecue chicken flatbread, smoked chicken wings, and duck nachos.

The Local

If Notre Dame is your team (better luck next year), then this is your game-day pub. It’s got loads of charm, as well as Irish classics like corned beef and cabbage and pot roast.

Erik The Red Bar

Sure, you can always watch the big game with pizza, but this bar offers authentic Nordic dishes that also pair nicely with college basketball viewing. Try the Land Board Smorgasbord, which includes smoked seasonal sausage, smoked cheddar, rotating charcuterie, and spicy mustard.

Minneapolis Sports Bars and StorageMart

At StorageMart, we’re as into March Madness as we are self storage—and that’s saying a lot. Happy watching and good luck with your bracket – if it isn’t already busted, that is!
