Are there lights?
StorageMart's self storage lighting is top notch. Our facilities have quality LED lighting in most locations to keep the buildings well lit, making it easier when accessing your belongings in the evening or early morning.

Is there electricity?
Some StorageMart units come with electrical outlets, but it is available on select units only. Please contact the store manager for the specific location you are interested in to find out about storage units with electricity.

Can I have band practice in my storage unit?
We are huge music fans! As such, some of our locations do allow band practice in a storage unit. Please contact the store manager at the location you are interested in for more details.

Do you accept deliveries on my behalf?
Yes, we can accept deliveries on your behalf at most of our locations. Our store manager can sign for the package and allow the delivery service access to your unit to deliver the package. Please contact your store manager to set up delivery acceptance.

Are there elevators?
Our locations with multiple levels are equipped with an elevator for your convenience and per ADA regulations. If you are unsure if a specific location has multiple levels, contact the store manager for building details.

What is a covered loading bay?
A covered loading bay is an area for you to unload your belongings while sheltered from the weather. Loading bays are present more often at storage facilities with interior units. Pull your vehicle into the loading bay to unload your belongings.

What's the difference between heated and climate controlled storage?

StorageMart offers two types of special units for temperature sensitive items. A heated unit is a storage unit that is heated in the winter to prevent the temperature from dropping into freezing temperatures. This unit type is especially common in areas with very cold winters. A climate controlled unit is one that is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer, keeping the interior at a moderate temperature that is not too hot or too cold. This is the ideal storage solution for very temperature sensitive items such as electronics, antiques, musical instruments, paintings and art, and valuables.

Access/Office Hours

When does StorageMart close?

StorageMart stores have varying office and gate hours. Please check with your store manager to find out when your store is open.

What are the holiday hours?
Holiday hours vary by store, country, and location. Please check with your store manager to find out when your store will be open. Gate hours could also change during holidays.

Can I get 24 hour access?
Self storage 24 hour access is available at most StorageMart locations and can be set up if you need to access your unit at odd hours. Please contact the store manager at the location you are interested in to enquire about 24 hour access.

Can I move in after hours?

Paperwork must be completed and signed during office hours. After that, you're free to move your belongings in during gate hours.

Is there a limit to the number of times I can access my unit per day or month?
No, there is no limit to your self storage access rate, other than the business hours. The gates of the facility lock at a specific time each evening, and unless you have 24 hour access set up, you cannot access your unit when the facility is closed.

Do you have moving trucks?
With the exception of our Urbandale, IA location, StorageMart does not own or offer moving truck rentals.

Can you refer a local mover?
Please contact your local StorageMart for recommendations on local movers.

Do you do the moving for me?
When you rent a storage unit with us, you are responsible for moving into your unit. That said, our Brooklyn and Hollis locations in New York do offer a free moving service with the rental of a storage unit.
