How much is self storage per month?
Determining the self storage cost per month will vary based on the size of the unit and from location to location. StorageMart strives to be at or below the market value for self storage rental fees. Contact the location you're interested in renting at or browse our properties online.

Does StorageMart charge a deposit or additional fees?
StorageMart does not charge a deposit fee. When you rent a unit with us, there is a small one-time administration fee. We also require you to purchase Value Coverage for your unit or provide a home owner's or renter's policy that covers self storage units.

What is the online discount?
StorageMart offers a discount on select storage units when renting online as opposed to renting in the store. Renting online at Storage-Mart.com is a great way to save a few dollars on your rental, as well as easily browse and find the unit that fits your needs and budget.

Is there a minimum stay required?
StorageMart does not impose a minimum length of stay for storage customers. Rent a unit and store your belongings for as long or as short as you need. Talk to the store manager at the location you wish to rent for details.

Is there a prepay discount if I pay ahead?
StorageMart's self storage discounts do not include a prepay discount. You can take advantage of our online discount by renting a unit on Storage-Mart.com. First Month Free is also available at participating locations.

Do you match competitor pricing?
StorageMart does not offer price matching with competitors, but our pricing is at or below market value! Plus most StorageMart locations offer First Month Free promotions that let you move in for next to nothing! You can also get an online discount when renting online at www.Storage-Mart.com.

How does the Refer-a-Friend discount work?
StorageMart offers storage unit discounts for referring a friend who then rents from us. Refer a friend who rents a unit, and both of you will get $50 off your rent.

Billing

How long is the contract?
StorageMart does not have a contracted length of term, but rather operates on a month-to-month storage rental agreement. When you rent with StorageMart, you'll sign a lease agreement. You can end the lease by giving notice. The store manager will go over details on length of stay as well as move in and move out procedures.

Do you refund or prorate the move out?
All of our leases are month-to-month and we do not prorate move out. If you have moved out by the first of the month, you will not be billed for that month.

How much notice do I have to give to move out?
We ask for 15 days notice before the end of the month. It does not have to be written notice to vacate a storage unit, but giving us time to finalize your account will simplify the move out process.

How often will my rate increase?
From time to time,there may be a minimal adjustment to your rental rate. We want to maintain the best facilities in the industry, but we strive to also provide the most competitive rates.

What payment methods do you take? Can I pay by check?
Your StorageMart payment can come in the form of a check, credit card, debit card, or cash. You can also sign up for autopay. If you are a Canadian customer, please contact your store manager regarding debit card processing.

Can I do auto-bill?
StorageMart offers and recommends autopay. It's easy to set up and is the best way to stay current with your account. Set up autopay with the store manager when you rent. They will walk you through the necessary steps.

What if there is an emergency or hardship and I can't pay?
In the event of an emergency or hardship, please contact your store manager.

When is my rent due?
Your rental fees are always due on the first of the month. This makes it easy to remember. You can pay online, in the store, or over the phone. The easiest way to stay up-to-date on your account is through autopay, where the monthly payment is automatically withdrawn each month.

What if the first is on a weekend or holiday and the office is closed? Do I still have to pay by the first?
Yes. Rent is due on the first of the month. You can pay online, set up autopay, or pay a day early. Our Customer Service Center is also available to take payment every day except Christmas.

Can I pay my bill online?
Yes you can! The StorageMart online payment module can be accessed from our website. Step 1: Log In To pay for your unit online, navigate to www.Storage-Mart.com. In the upper right-hand corner, click on "Pay My Bill." An account login page will load. Enter your credentials and click "Sign In." Step 2: Pay Your Bill Once you've signed in, you can view your account information, view your invoice, and see how much you owe. To pay online, click on "Make a Payment" and follow the prompts. Once you've filled out your credit or debit card information, click "Make Payment." You will receive an email and on-screen confirmation if your payment was successful.

Late Payment

Will a late payment affect my credit?
No, StorageMart does not report to the credit bureaus.

Can I make a partial payment?
No, StorageMart does not accept partial payments under any circumstances.

Is there a grace period?
No, rent is due on the 1st of every month. Please check your lease for more information regarding the delinquency process.

What if I can't pay my bill?
If you are not going to be able to pay your bill at the first of the month, contact your store manager as soon as possible.

What happens if my rent is late?
Rent is due at the 1st of every month. Refer to your country, state, or provincial guidelines and please check your lease for more information regarding the delinquency process.

What happens if my unit is auctioned?
It is not our intention to auction away your belongings. You will be notified multiple times before an auction occurs, so you have more than enough time to resolve your delinquency.

When are your storage locker auctions?
There is no schedule for auctions. They are only done as needed. All of our auction information can be found on ibid4storage.com.
