Burlington, Ontario – February 5th, 2014 – StorageMart’s Burlington self storage facility recently hosted a used book sale benefiting the United Way of Burlington and Greater Hamilton. Held over the course of two days, the sale generated $437.50 in donations for the local United Way chapter.
Inventory for the sale came via donations from the public. StorageMart facility manager Alice Hayashida and her staff collected the donations of books, CDs and record albums in the weeks leading up to the sale and handled the two days of sales themselves.
StorageMart Efforts
This effort to benefit the United Way was part of a larger, ongoing StorageMart program to be actively involved in the communities in which it operates. The StorageMart Gives program incorporates both local efforts like this book sale as well as company-wide partnerships with organizations like the American Red Cross and Charity Storage.
